Yes, you can simply turn up and fish. Permits, boat hire and EA licences are available onsite. You can also phone ahead if you want to check availability.
Yes, you can bring your own bait for Coarse or Trout fishing. For Pike fishing, all dead baits must be bought onsite.
Yes, there are easily accessible pegs close to the car park, including pegs suitable for anglers with disabilities.
Yes, we have a tackle shop, toilets and the Boathouse Café.
Boat capacity is based on weight, not the number of people. The maximum allowed is 300kg per boat.
No we offer day tickets which are dawn until dusk and overnighting is permitted. Pegs must be vacated by first light if not booked from the day before.
Boat hire runs from 8am to 4pm in winter, and 9am to 5pm in summer. Evening boats 4pm until sunset.
Yes, you can launch your own boat. There is a launch fee, and the boat must use an electric engine or oars only.
Yes, fly-fishing tuition is available with qualified instructors. Please telephone for availability and rates.
Yes, we offer partly supervised fishing from the jetty with rod hire, and guided family fishing trips from the boats.
Yes, dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead.
There is a myriad of accommodation options nearby, we recommend the Red Lion, the Tower Bank Arms, the Cuckoo Brow hotel and the Water Edge guest house. All within close proximity.
